Anti-Wrinkle Injections Treatment Outline

The most popular and effective treatment for dynamic lines and wrinkles on the face. There is no better treatment out there to address wrinkles that are caused by repeated dynamic movement.

Superficial muscles on the face are treated by injecting the muscles with a medicine called botulinum toxin type A (commonly known as Botox). This drug works by blocking the release of acetylcholine, a chemical messenger that normally tells muscles to contract. Without the signal, the muscles can’t contract as strongly so the overlying skin stays smoother.  Results start to appear within 3-7 days and take up to 2 weeks to reach the maximum effect. As the nerve endings gradually regenerate, the muscle activity returns usually within 3-4 months on average but longevity does vary between individuals. Over time, with regular treatments the muscles become weaker and effects can last longer.

N.B : Botulinum toxin type A is a prescribed medication that by law requires a face-to-face consultation with a medical prescriber prior to treatment. A  consultation is required prior to Treatment for all new Patients or those who have not attended clinic within the last 6 months.
